KIOSK
'Provide birth certificate within 24 hours after the birth' program has been being implemented through this center.
Conference hall
This conference hall is big enough to accommodate 100 persons . Continuing education for Doctors, Nurses and other staff, hospital staff meeting etc are conducted here.
Library
A library having around 150 books of obstetric and Gynecology functions in women and children's hospital, Thycadu, thiruvananthapuram. It is situated near the P.P.S block.
Ambulance Service
Ambulance service is available round the clock to take patience to Medical college in the emergency situations.
Reception
A 24 hours working reception counter is situated in the women and children's hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. There are around 50 telephone extension lines from this counter to connect all departments and other working units one another and there by to coordinate the functions. Hospital telephone number is 0471-2323457, 2323458.
Canteen
Canteen functions in the Hospital compound. Food required for the patients is available from here from 6.30 am to 8.00 pm.
Parking Area
Enough parking area has been provided for the vehicles in side the hospital compound.
Telephone booth
A coin operated telephone has been installed near the inquiry counter.
Resting Place
Facility has been provided for bystanders to take rest. A dormitory has been constructed infront of the ward no: 5.
Public announcement system
A public announcement system has been installed in the hospital to announce important and urgent informations . In addition to this, in the new multi-storied block, there is facility to hear and enjoy light music.
Waste Disposal
By the help of IMAGE( IMA goes echo friendly), the waste from the hospital like surgical waste, plastic waste, needles, ampules etc are disposed daily. In each ward separate buckets have been placed for collecting them. Food packets and plastics are strictly prohibited in the hospital. In each ward separate buckets have been placed to collect food waste. These food wastes are removed daily from the hospital by the 'KudumbaSree' members from Thiruvananthapuram corporation.
